Unmissable Documentary hits Cinemas: Sherpa, Discover the real cost of climbing Everest.

From the producers of Touching the Void and 127 hours comes a nail biting documentary at filmed at 21,000ft.

Back in 2013 Everest's tourist industry made international news (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/nepal/10037481/What-drove-100-Sherpas-to-attack-Western-climbers-on-Everest.html ) as an argument broke out between a couple of climbers and over 100 Sherpas (highly-skilled Himalayan workers who lead expeditions up Everest) at 21,000ft.

In the following year a team of documentary makers set off to capture the Sherpa’s side of the story but instead witnessed a tragedy that would change Everest forever.

While filming an avalanche tragically struck killing 16 Sherpas. They were making the treacherous journey over unstable ice to prepare the route for the paying expedition climbers- a journey they often have to make.  In the days following the events that unfolded changed this history of Everest forever.

This stunningly shot documentary gives a first-hand account of the drama and tension at Everest basecamp and ultimately how those who risk most pay the greatest price.
