The Nightmare Before Christmas sequel is not what you think it is.
You may have seen over enthusiastic headlines today declaring the news that The Nightmare Before Christmas 2 is coming next year.
It's kind of true, however it won't be in film form. Instead, The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey will follow Jack Skellington’s ghost dog Zero on an adventure around the film’s festive location Christmas Town in a continuation of the story depicted in the classic animated film.
Produced by publisher Tokyopop, the story will be released in a series of full-colour single issues, released direct to comic book stores, before being released in a collected volume which will be available more widely.
The comic books will be published 25 years since the original film, which was produced by Disney.
