Chris Pratt tells us more...

You’re everywhere these days! How surreal is it to have your face plastered all over busses, crisp packets, billboards etc?

It’s pretty cool you know, it’s something that as a young person coming to Hollywood you dream about the possibility about being on a bag of Dorito’s one day and then it happens. It is surreal. You just have to enjoy the moment.

Now we don’t want to talk too much about the plot right, because we want the fans to enjoy all the surprises?

Oh yeah totally, I mean this is a special movie and there is so much in this for the fans and I don’t want them to know anything about it really, they have to go along for the ride and enjoy the cameo’s and just sit back and try and take it all in.

There’s a great t-shirt you were in the movie, we love it!

Oh yes I have a great wardrobe. There is a t-shirt I wear with a label from some intergalactic candy company so it’s a label someone might wear a Reece’s Pieces shirt, so it’s a pretty cool shirt. It’sin some made up space language.

The music of course is amazing isn’t it?

Oh the music takes centre stage in many moments and it feels like a major character in the film.

A lot was recorded in Abbey Road studios wasn’t it?

Yes, it’s amazing, James said he was moved to tears when he heard a big symphony playing the score, it’s pretty cool.

It’s become a thing hasn’t it, the awesome mix tape?

Yes the awesome mix volume 2 will ensure another wildly successful soundtrack and for a lot of people watching they love the nostalgia of the music, it reminds them of their childhood.  At the same time, the film introduces a whole new audience to the songs, people have never heard this music before and they love it. It’s great for the artists.

What’s it like when you finally see all the post production and the finished article?

Well if you are part of the film making process, it’s really difficult to step back and watch it objectively but with films like this, where there is so much post-production going on, you see the animated worlds for the first time and you know exactly what baby groot looks like. You really do get swept up in it, there are hundreds if not thousands of names who work on the animation of this movie and you really should watch the credits to see all the people who have put their hearts and souls into this film.
