Recommended Escapes: the beautiful Waldblick Landhaus guesthouse, Austria.

Waldblick Landhaus is just a short drive from the ski slopes of Annaberg, Puchenstuben and Lackenhof. Equally, if you don't fancy skiing or a holiday on ice, the area is also fantastic in the summer, with walking, hiking, biking and swimming in the Erlaufsee or Lunz am See. Perfect for those wishing to get back to nature with out-door adventures whatever the season!

There are just four rooms located on the third floor of this traditional alpine house which means guests receive a first class, extremely attentive service from British owners Terry and Nicola, who escaped the rat-race in the UK to live the dream.

"The rat race and also being stuck in traffic on the way to work every morning were huge factors in our decision to leave the UK to run Waldblick Landhaus" says Terry.

"We love the freedom of working for ourselves and enjoying the simple things that the Austrian lifestyle offers us. All year round outdoor activities, fresh air beautiful scenery and good beer and wine.  Equally, we love sharing all of that with our guests".

The great thing here is the mix of visitors the guesthouse receives.  You're likely to bump into other guests from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

The guesthouse offers a range of rooms, single rooms, twin or double and also a large family room that sleeps up to 4 people. Each room is beautifully decorated, immaculate (check out the reviews!) and offer stunning alpine views from balconies within the rooms.
