BBC One confirm new Doctor Who timeslot.
The BBC have finally confirmed the timeslot for the new series of Doctor Who.
Having previously revealed the show would now air on Sundays, today the channel announced the 11th series will air between 6.45pm and 7.45pm.
American fans can watch the episode on the same day, at 1.45pm EST.
This means the longrunning time-travel saga will inherit a huge family audience from Countryfile, which airs directly before it and will be broadcast directly before ratings juggernaut Strictly Come Dancing: The Results.
Doctor Who will go head to head with gameshow 5 Gold Rings which airs on itv when it launches on Sunday 7 October.
