BBC One's The Greatest Dancer to take on The Voice UK.

Forget The X Factor Vs Strictly, BBC One are pitching their huge new dance competition The Greatest Dancer directly against itv’s The Voice UK in January.


Following another sensational series of unforgettable routines, spectacular showstoppers and magical moments on Strictly Come Dancing, dance fever has well and truly swept the nation but viewers need not fear about missing out as brand new talent show The Greatest Dancer is confirmed in the schedules and the series will start on Saturday 5th January at 8pm on BBC One.

The Greatest Dancer is presented by former Strictly Come Dancing champion Alesha Dixon and Diversity’s Jordan Banjo and will also feature star of Strictly Come Dancing and eight-time Latin American champion, Oti Mabuse; Broadway star and Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominated Matthew Morrison and multi-platinum British artist Cheryl.

The BBC are taking a huge risk with the show, pitching it directly against itv’s The Voice UK which will also air at 8pm from Saturday 5th January. Will.i.Am, Olly Murs, Jennifer Hudson and Tom Jones all return as coaches, and Emma Wills is back as host.
