BBC Radio 2 smash the 2019 Nothing But Entertainment Radio Awards, winning 9 out of 13 categories!
BBC Radio 2 have stormed the 2019 Nothing But Entertainment Radio Awards, winning 9 out of 13 categories.
Every single daytime presenter on the station won their category, meaning the station’s new line up of Zoe Ball, Ken Bruce, Sara Cox and Jo Whiley is clearly working.
Trevor Nelson also won the award for best night-time show, whilst weekend presenter Elaine Paige took the award for best specialist show, beating the likes of Jamie Cullen, Mark Kermode and Jack Saunders.
Breakfast Show news anchor Tina Deehily also won her category and Ana Matronic took the award for Best Dance Show.
Radio 2 also won our biggest award - for Station of the Year.
Other winners this year included Absolute Radio’s Jason Manford who won Best Weekend Show - and Presenter of the Year. Radio 1 took two awards for Best Chart Show and Best Event, for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, which narrowly beat Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park.
Surprisingly, big names like Chris Evans, Greg James and Chris Moyles failed to win any of their categories and there were no wins for Capital, Heart or Magic FM either.
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to all of you who voted!
