Sky Cinema Premiere lines up massive month of movies including The Incredibles 2 and Mamma Mia 2!
Incredibles 2 leads a massive month of movies this April on Sky Cinema.
Sky Cinema Premieres has lined up a huge month of movies this April, led by the premiere of Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 and Mamma Mia 2: Here we go again.
The world’s most incredible family of superheroes are back in the custom lycra, and this time they’re being stretched to their limit. Mrs Incredible (Holly Hunter) takes centre stage when she heads out on a secret mission to save her superhero comrades, leaving Mr Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) to take on the day-to-day family struggles of homework, teenage mood swings, and whatever the heck baby Jack-Jack is.
In Mamma Mia 2: Here we go again, you’re invited to return to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi in another musical experience based on the timeless songs of ABBA. The original film’s incredible all-star cast returns, including Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård and Julie Walters, while new additions include Lily James, Andy Garcia and Cher.
Also coming to Sky Cinema Premieres in April is the monster hit Ant-Man and The Wasp. Avengers: Infinity War wasn’t exactly the best example of great superhero teamwork (you had one job Starlord!) but this is one team you can rely on. Set after Captain America: Civil War but before the Infinity Wave, we catch up with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) who is struggling with his choices both as Ant-Man and as a father. Teamed with micro-powered superheroine The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), they take on a mission of super-sized importance. Michael Douglas returns as original Ant-Man Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer makes her first superhero movie appearance since donning the Catwoman catsuit as the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne.
Rounding off the blockbuster premieres is Christopher Robin. You never forget your childhood friends, especially not when they happen to be a bear of very little brain. Ewan MacGregor stars as Christopher Robin, once a spirited and imaginative boy who embarked on adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his stuffed friends, but is now grown, living in London, and has lost his playful spark. Oh bother! When his demanding job causes him to neglect his family, his old friend Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the gang reappear unexpectedly to help him rediscover the joy in life.
Sky Cinema Premieres is available to SKY and NOW TV customers.
