Mark Radcliffe to sit in for Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2.
Mark Ratcliffe is to sit in for Jo Whiley next week, whilst the evening presenter covers for Ken Bruce in the mornings.
On Monday, Mark will speak to Beth O'Leary about her novel The Flatshare for the latest edition of the Radio 2 Book Club.
Tiffy Moore needs a cheap flat, and fast. Leon Twomey works nights and needs cash. Their friends think they’re crazy, but it’s the perfect solution: Leon occupies the one-bed flat while Tiffy’s at work in the day, and she has the run of the place the rest of the time. But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven’t met yet, they’re about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rulebook out the window…
Beth O'Leary studied English at university before going into children’s publishing. The Flatshare is her debut novel and she wrote it on her train whilst commuting in and out of London. It's published on 18th April.
Mark also handpicks his favourite new music from all genres of the musical spectrum and quality vintage songs too. And whether you’re picking up or dropping off, Mark provides the soundtrack for the Taxi Service.
Later in the week (Thursday) Mark introduces a live set from SOAK.
Listen to Mark Radcliffe next week from 7pm on BBC Radio 2.
