TV: When does The X Factor 2018 start?
The nights are drawing in and the Summer is fading away. That means, The X Factor can't be far away!
Historically, the series has usually launched on the bank holiday weekend, which in times gone by meant huge ratings as families came together to enjoy the series opener.
This year, the series is shorter, with no room auditions as the show goes back to the format of Arena auditions in the opening round. The six chair challenge, bootcamps and judges houses are all returning as are Simon Cowell and Dermot O'Leary.
Other than that, expect a lot of changes. Robbie Williams, Adya Field and Louis Tomlinson complete the judging panel and we're anticipating clearer themed weeks and less gimics as the show tries to reacquaint itself with viewers, after a strong decline in viewing figures over the last few years.
itv still haven't confirmed the start date, but everything points to Saturday 1 September for the launch.
