Vampire Weekend confirmed to perform on Jo Whiley's Radio 2 show.
Vampire Weekend play live in session with Jo.
Vampire Weekend formed whilst Ezra Koenig, Chris Tomson, Chris Baio and Rostam Batmanglij were students whilst studying at Columbia University, New York. They soon found success with the singles A-Punk and Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa from their debut self-titled album, released in 2008.
This was followed by the albums Contra in 2010 and Modern Vampires Of The City in 2013, with the band becoming a big live draw, headlining festivals such as Latitude in the UK. The group then took a break before finally releasing their first album since 2013, their first without Rostam, earlier this month. Father Of The Bride features the singles Harmony Hall and This Life and has been created with the help of collaborators such as Danielle Haim, Mark Ronson and Steve Lacy. The band will be playing Glastonbury Festival and touring the UK later this year.
Plus Jo handpicks her favourite new music from all genres of the musical spectrum and quality vintage songs too. And whether you’re picking up or dropping off, Jo provides the soundtrack for the Taxi Service.
