BBC Two Commissions Dragons' Den: From Pitches to Riches.
BBC Two has commissioned a new programme, Dragons’ Den: From Pitches To Riches (w/t) that will re-live the most extraordinary moments from the past 13 series of Dragons’ Den.
It will delve back into the Dragons’ back catalogue to re-visit classic Den moments and discover the fortunes of some of the most unforgettable entrepreneurs after they shook hands on a deal with a Dragon.
The show will be fronted by self-confessed Den obsessive Richard Osman. Richard will dissect the DNA of the Dragons as he dares to ask the questions they’ve never been asked before... Who’s really in charge in the Den? Do they ever get it wrong? And, most importantly, where does Peter dig up those one-liners?
With over a decade of eccentric entrepreneurs, weird props, painful pitches, tears and sweaty palms, Richard will invite some of his favourite entrepreneurs into his own secret cinema, where they will come face-to-face with their experience in the Den once again.
Plus Richard uncovers the fortunes of some of the Den’s biggest hits and misses. We all know famous entrepreneur Levi Roots, but can Peter Jones pull off the multi-million-pound sauce revolution again with a new Korean-inspired creation? Meanwhile, Richard joins Deborah Meaden with one of her brightest investments as they go from strength to strength in the UK and launch Stateside.
Commissioning Editor for BBC Entertainment, Rachel Ashdown says: “As a Den super-fan, Richard Osman will bring great insight and of course his own unique brand of humour to the show. It will give fans of the show a behind-the-scenes glimpse into what makes it the success it is."
Presenter Richard Osman says: "I've been a great fan of Dragons' Den for years. It's been a real treat to meet the Dragons and ask all the questions I've ever wanted to ask. I also discovered the answer to a question that has always bugged me - who's taller, me or Peter Jones?"
